Tall Bearded Iris: In 1964, we introduced a stunning purple plicata with the name Stepping Out. It was a breakthrough in hybridizing at the time, with Stepping Out going on to win the Dykes Medal in 1968. As a testament to its prowess, Stepping Out is still out growing in our fields today, 61 years after its introduction. So then, let us introduce you to Stepping In, a modern plicata advanced in flower form and bud count from its distinguished relative. Producing a whopping 13 buds per stalk, this mid-season bloomer nicely embodies our appreciation for our history and excitement for the future.
